One of the ways to provide some life perspective in the here-and-now is to write out the words that describe the elements that make up your daily life. What are the categories or dimensions that you currently allocate your time, effort, energy, emotion, passion, etc. to?
This is a very open-ended exercise, and you may respond in so many ways in terms of broader categories (as shown in some of the examples provided in the bottom row called “8 Dimensions of Wellness,” “12 Life Roles,” and “Wheel of Life”) or with more specific, discrete descriptions (as shown in the lefthand example of the “life visualization”). The reason why I provide a blank circle is because I don’t think each dimension in our lives are equally divided; and therefore, I invite you to divide the circle into the parts that you feel best reflect your whole.
